After having a friend inform me that a 22 pound native buck was caught and killed on the Green yesterday at a plunking shack just below Beer bottle beach I became sick! This has been an ongoing problem on the Green for years with the plunkers. I immediatly e-mailed the game departments enforcement div. and informed them and am urging everyone who reads this and cares about the future of the native runs in the Green to do the same. Thanks

I've seen it happen at the barn hole as well. The problem is that enforcement always comes ten minutes too late. By the time Mike or Dennis shows, the nate is flopping in some dude's trunk headed back up Orillia.

Jigman...
Where've you BEEN??? Haven't seen you post on here for a while!

I've fished the Green a couple times and always ask the other fisherpeople if they frequent Piscatorial Pursuits...thought maybe I'd run across you!

Do you have the email address for us to send our concerns and/or complaints about this and other poaching??? All I've been hearing this year on the rivers is how much of a beating they've been taking due to various abuses!!! Since I'm new to Steelhead fishing, this concerns me for future fishing opportunities!

Thanks for the info on this! I really like the Green, and I'd like to be able to fish it in the future!

Hohwaiin,
The green is kind of my native water, it`s definetly the one I`ll be fishing the most since starting steelhead fishing, if you have a number or something for those guys (Mike and dennis) I`ll call them if I se I see some a$$ taking a native, out of the green or anywhere else for that matter.

I've lived in Washington for two years now and have had no luck hooking a steelhead on the Green. Maybe it's my technique (or lack of). I've always fished in or near Flaming Geyser State Park. Can anyone offer other upstream or downstream locations for me to try out? It is a great river and I would like to fish it more regularly. Does anyone have a driftboat they would be willing to share? I can provide a turn-around vehicle.

From my little experience with WDFW enforcement, the 800 number is worthless. If you can get the number of your local officer, they , or at least my local officers are really on the ball. Even though I have had good response, you have to take into concideration that they are spread very thin for their area.
