Since I've run out of the luhr jensen soft eggs, and they are discontinued, what is good similar product?

If your talking about the rubber anise eggs that they made there is no replacement IMO. Mad river makes anise scented eggs but they have a strong plastic smell and aren't as good as the luhr jensens.

Anyone ever try to recreate the liquid the Luhr Jensen eggs were in? I have large pink ones but no sauce.

The Jenseneggs that I have, smell like super-strong anise.
We have some pure anise oil from an Asian herb store that has a strong smell like the Jenseneggs.

Yes the longevity of the anise scent is the key. How about EZ eggs? I've never tried them thoughts on them?

Time to mix up some Anise cocktail.

Closest I've found that have a good strong anise smell and don't start smelling like plastic after awhile are the anise eggs made by Atlas Mikes.

Snoqualmie bait company. Fished them this year and they did well! Good alternative to the real thing. I think they just came out with anise scented eggs too! Good luck.
