Hi
I am new to the region and to this forum and would be v grateful for some advice about steel heading on the Olympic peninsular. I will be able to get a week off work in the spring. Hoping to swing flies for native steelhead. Have a spey setup and will be walking and wading. If there were an ideal time to go, with best chance of having fish swimming by and reasonable river flows, which week would it be and which river? The hoh looks beautiful. I would probably just stay 3 nights and I am not bothered by the weather.

Hoh in March and April is always a good bet. In a few weeks wild fish will start to show and will continue to do so until it closes. Later in the season though is the best time for good weather and big fish.
