Nothin good to report other than the stunning scenery that rivaled the op rivers. and a couple of dollies. Talked with two other boats...nada.
Question?
I was so impressed with the sauk...I hadn't floated it in about 4 years.
Can you float the river when it closed..but can't fish it? so no rods.
just a boat ride?

Don't know why you couldn't, the raft folks do it all the time.

I"ll go with. Get in touch, I'm in Darrington and I'll provide the shuttle.

I think you could fish it when it is closed but with no hooks, be interesting to see how many take downs on a plug you would get, a plug with no hooks of course though

Saundu,

I was low-holing you about 45 miles downriver all weekend hoping to cork you. Not to worry though, hundreds of casts were made in holding water that's too good to be true, with only some native char to show for the effort. Interesting bit on the char this time, only one less than 20". Had 7 20 - 22" and one 16", all in excellent condition. And all fought like a wet dish rag. They would be such cool fish if they had a little zip to their character, but they save it all for when I go to remove the fly.

Some day. OS.

Don't know a Mike Hunt, My first name is Hunter and my buddies at school call me big hunt so that's where I got it from. yeah dollies don't fight too good but once you latch onto one of those 26-30 inches, then the fight gets a little better.

SkyGuy-
I still use that pic as my desktop a lot. When I host on-line international meetings it always gets a ton of comments. Folks from Italy and Japan have admired your handiwork!!

And I use it to remind folks back east what real mountains look like smile

I too really miss that river. I still go in a funk every year once the days start getting longer.

I've never gotten over the Sky being closed in spring so I'm pretty sure I'll never get over the Sauk too being closed cry

I have more fish pics with Whitehorse Mt. in the background than any other single background, by far...I have that picture hanging on my wall, too...I like seeing it, and it makes me sad, too...really sad.

Fish on...

It is #TBT smile

And Coley, when your new Daughter grows up you can show her how much of a Badass her mother is...simply because she can row the Sauk smile
