I was in marine are 10 Saturday morning and had one of the best years ever. On a 45 - 75 minute soak we average 70 in a pot. We had 5 limits and were gone by 9:30.

We were using the Ace Line Hauler with the "Brutus" hands free puller and rope coiler. Love it, It isn't the fastest but it is steady and coils the line very nicely into the bucket. The bucket has holes in the bottom to drain the water, when all 1600 ft. of line are coiled the line is stored in the shed until next year. No mess and no hassle.

I use a gas puller for shrimp due to the time restriction on the Canal.
I just use the davit to pull the crab pots by hand since the lions Mane jellies are more a problem when the water warms.
