When are the summer runs going to start in big numbers? When do the summer steelies and kings come out? What rivers do summer kings swim up? When do fall kings start??

Thanks a bunch!!

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

Pink,

Right now, the rivers south of you (Cowlitz, Kalama etc) will have summer steelhead and a smattering of spring kings. From your location, I'd also consider the Wynoochee, although the number of smolts that they released that would be returning this year was WAY down, so there might not be very good numbers of fish there.

For fall kings, look at the Chehalis, Nooch, and Satsop. All these are good for silvers, too. The lower Chehalis starts up in September (or whenever it opens) and the fish move up into the Nooch and Satsop according to the rain. In October, if we get a shot of rain, wait until the rivers start to drop and then BE THERE the next day. Try big Flatfish/Kwikfish (T-50, or K-15/16 sizes) for the Kings and the next size smaller plugs, or spinners for the silvers.

Do you know Chris from Poulsbo on this BB? If so, I said I'd show him the ropes on the Nooch and Satsop this fall, so maybe you could hook up with him?

Hope this helps some........

Dan,
She is my girlfriend, and is a pretty good fisherwoman. She asks to go fishing almost 2 times a week and there are not many girls that do that.
I tried to e-mail you the other day to see how you are doing. It said it couldn't send it for some reason. Have your kinds let you out to go fishing? Also, When do you think you could get out to help me learn?

Chris,

Don't know what's u with my email. Maybe try it again and see what happens.

I'm heading down to Oregon this weekend to fish for a few days, but maybe we can hook up later this month and go out. Father's Day weekend might be good, since that weekend belongs to ME and the wife and kids won't have me tied up. If that sound OK to you, let me know. Then you can decide where you want to go. The Satsop really doesn't have much for summer fish and I guess the Nooch hasn't really turned on yet, either. We could still give one of them a try just so you could learn the river.

Let me know...........

Cool, I am ready any time. I have a very flexable summer job.
