I love float fishing eggs for kings this time of year. Gimme a quart of eggs, my Batson 1264c float Road, some great friends, and some river space on one of my favorite Olympic Peninsula River and I'm in my happy place.

Here's a first cast fish that was hooked before 6:15 am, so I apologize for the lack of light. As the battle progresses, The Legend hooks one as well. Wasn't able to take any more video during the day, as the Contour camera experienced some "technical difficulties" after this video. Looks like the camera shart the bed.

Nothing large, but lots of bitey, shiny, fresh, scrappy, and really hard fighting fish. That always makes for a fun day.

Gotta love a scrappy hard-fighting fish while using heavy leaders and tight drags. Sometimes, even the little girls put up a fight worthy of their size.

Excellent work on a Skok king Parker! How'd you get Stam and Canyonman to fish the Skokomish with you? Don't you need Todd's step ladder to complete the effect tho?

Now what kind of excuse can you come up with for your buddies dragging a fish across the rocks then releasing it? That is a weak move and you know it.

Wow...I guess Paker is finally right that haters are simply haters. I will guarantee there are not many people out there that respect these fish as much as Stam and I do. What you don't see in the video is that Stam's turbo jack was being eased into a little pocket for release, then went completely bzerk and literally beached itself. We got the hook out as quickly as possible and sent him back on his way, nobody dragged anything across the rocks. We knew we were releasing these fish and thus why no net was used either.

I didn't see anything wrong with the release. nice video. Striped bass fight more than their weight too.

I usually know if I'm gonna release a fish way before it hits the beach and plan my strategy accordingly. On the rare occasion the fish did the run to the bank I knew it was gonna happen and had that fish back in the water tute sweet.
But it is what it is I guess but either way nice little fish and thanks for sharing the video.
