i was jus wondering, in all your expertice, have you ever plunked wiggle warts before, and if so..what is the best length of leader to use as to let the wart do its job, and have you landed many fish this way? ive been using it lately with 4 foot leader and im not sure if its diving down far enough, i know it depends on current also, can you give me some advice on leader length as to current ratio's..thanks ***schitzo***

schitzo with a berkley, I have never plunked wiggle warts before but tadpoly's & hot shot's are always my favorite! I use a standard spreader bar with paper clip for the weight. Before you attach your mainline slide a bead up your line before you tie up. Send your 8oz. out, wait a minute for your setup to settle, tighten your line up then attach a snap swivel to your mainline w/ about 2' leader to your hot shot or tad. then send that down your line. Pick your rod up high and shake the lure down your line till it hits the water, drop your line and start working the lure down deep and then you can put your rod back in the holder and wait for the jingle bells! I think that this really helps with hook-ups. I have caught fish on both set-ups bait & lure while plunking, I really think the lure helps attract the fish rather that just the bait & bobber. Anyway that's how I do it and it seems to work for me, I do really well with this rigging. Good luck!

Have your attorney look at the game laws. Its hard to tell from river to river so make sure you read the specifics for the river your fishing and the species your targeting. Tight Lines ------------------ Marty Steelheader.net marty@steelheader.net
