I personally couldn't get Bobs cure to work for me, I couldn't get it right. I was getting eggs that were too hard for my taste so I changed a few things...combined some recipes and found this one that works for me.

I usually do up a whole lot at one time (like 15-30 LBS)first I filet my skeins in 1/2 then I run one big tub with about 7-8 cups of water with 1 1/2 cups salt and 1 cup borax and about 3-4 tablespoons of Beau mac color (not cure). I stir it up until the salt and borax gets blended up then lay my eggs in there until they get to the desired texture. For me it is usually 2-3 hours, if it is going slow then add another 1/2 cup of salt or so.(stir frequently or you will end up with hard eggs on bottom and uncured at top). After that, strain them for 30-40 mins, then cut them again to whatever size chunks of eggs you want. Then I lay them out to dry overnight. then roll em in borax and tub em up. Like bobs cure I add scent to the brine, whatever your preference, shrimp, sardine...etc My last tip is that if you are gonna freeze them, use a test tub. freeze one tub overnight then let it defrost and see how your eggs are. one time freezing $100 worth of slightly uncured eggs and you will know why I do that!
good luck,
like most things that pertain to fishing, it is all up to your preference hard eggs soft eggs etc
