Go light Chris.I dont use bait much ,this time of year go with a black&red aero fly.I'm a true believer in areo flys they work well at blue creek.Hold on if you hook a king you will have your hands full but it will be a blast.Go 8#main & 6#leader.If the water is colored a little from this rain go 10&8 or even 12&10.TM

Chris;
Fished Anderson Bar about five or six days in August. We hooked a bunch only landing a couple. Our preferred set up came to be a #12 pink corky (imagine that!) pink yarn and a small sand shrimp. We were using #2 gamakutsu's on 10# main with 6# leaders about 4' long.

It was much slower last weekend than it had been. Will be looking forward to hearing how you do.

Is anyone going to be fishing the Cowlitz on wednesday? My friend and I are going to be floating from Blue Creek to Mission and we need a turn around. I would be very happy if any of you would help us out..... Thanks.

Well, it was slow. We floated all day and didn't get a fish in the boat. My buddy did hook 2 but none for the oarsman. It is slow. We also didn't see any hooked.
fishguts, When do the silvers start getting in that river.

P.S. I got a 7 lbs silver off of jeff head this morning and we also just about flipped....

Too bad about the Steelies in the Cowlitz.

Silvers? I don't know. In reading the board it seems they are getting a few at the mouth. Jim Bain is pretty excited about the 6 fish limit starting October 1. Get a thread going? How bout -Drift Boat Silvers-
When? Where? Tackle?

Nice going on the Sound Silver. I got skunked (again) last night.

Good Luck!

PS Jen posted my picture over at IFISH.
