Kalamabama and rvrtramp, thanks for taking me along on the float! Nice to hang out with you guys again. Fishguts and Cohoangler, it was good meeting you guys. Sorry I missed the rendezvous at Rainbow Camp Friday night. Saw a post elsewhere from, I believe, rainycity (sp?), who tried to get into Rainbow on Friday, but got the impression it was closed. Sounds as if Camp Kalama is as big a mess in the campground as it is on the bank at that big hole. He describes lots of people working the campground hooking campers' gear while the campers are on the beach snagging salmon. Anyway, it sounds like he was around, we just didn't hook up.

What did you guys end up doing on Sunday?

See you on the river. Tad

All in all, it was a great weekend! It would have been nice to have got a few more fish.

Sunday we drifted the Lewis from Cedar Creek to the Island Launch. Chris, the 8 year old got his first fish ever. Rivertramp got one jack.

I am looking forward to hooking up with you guy's again.

Thanks Kalamabama for organizing and everyone else for participating. The river looks considerably better, particularly the lower section (the snaggers notwithstanding)

I'm glad to hear (from another post) that one of you nailed a 20lb Chinook in the canyon. The fish gods must have been pleased with our efforts. Let's all try to keep the Kalama River, and every other river out there, clean and green. Best of luck with the coho this year. I've not done well. Maybe this weekend will be better.
