plenty of other companies do exactly the same thing... the Everglades Club in Palm Beach hires MORE people than Mar a Lago, and, pays them the same wage roughly....

hell the Boca West Country Club hires more than MaL and the EC COMBINED....

Difference being is that those other clubs aren't owned by a hypocritical bag of goo who keeps "MAGA" by sending jobs overseas, hiring foreigners, and having all of his products made in sweatshops in China.

Is it right for someone in a position of power to pledge to close the borders and then to seek an exception so his organization can hire them? If something is wrong, everybody doing not does not make it right.

H2B visas for unskilled labor aren't really a bad thing really - IMO. But I'm positive they are rubber stamped for the rich and powerful - which is kinda unfair. For the educated, it's the 3 year H1B technical visas that are the killers. 65,000 high paying technical jobs that should be going to Americans, but our tech companies are too greedy to pay out US wages so they offshore to India for a 1/4 the price. This hurts job prospects for new grads and kills careers if you are over 45. "We worsened our services while proving poorer quality, but hey we saved the Share Holders some coin this quarter! Let's give ourselves raises with the money we saved! YEEHAW!"

To kinda piggyback on Nick's corporate greed comments, back when they were an independent railroad the Southern Pacific chose to pay dividends rather than maintenance, equipment upgrades, etc. Shareholders happy until the system pretty much collapsed when traffic tried to increase.
