I happened to be over in that area yesterday and stopped by the hatchery as the tide was coming in. The people fishing there add a new meaning to fishing (snagging). I have never witnessed anything of this nature, seeing around 100 people lined up, prentending to be fishing, but actually snagging/ foul hooking 9 out of 10 and dragging them onto the rocks by the tail or whatever, plus fishing in closed waters, clearly marked by bouys.Seeing somethinglike this really leaves one wondering where the enforcement officers are. What an example for the kids that were there. mad

Sorry, couldn't resist. laugh

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

I think the fact of the matter is they just don't care. The hatchery has its escapement quota, and there are still TONS of fish showing up.

Do those guys really think you need a 4/0 hook for humpies? Or a Buzzbomb in the hatchery bubble?

Yep, that's sportfishing at its finest rolleyes

That place is a joke, or should use the word "zoo". Do not go to that place expecting to have a pleasant day of fishing, as it seems everyone is making it a family affair: breaking out the Zebco 404's that had some line on it last time they checked them 3 years ago, rubber boot wearing, shorts wearing, bonnet wearing, snaggin' idiots mad
-All this for a fish that is averaging 3 or 4 pounds. rolleyes

I'm not going back to that place anymore this year mad It's just a disgusting, aggravating site, and it's contagious as the number of "anglers" to "snaggers" shift as the schools come in...which are few and far between. I'm glad it's pretty much over and really no need to waste the gas on old, darker fish.

I just don't get it. why don't the dwf station someone there for the incoming tides. Its the only hot spot around right now. they can't be blind. it justs torks us who follow the rules, next time email the dwf tell them what you saw, askt hem why its not enforced. maybe they get enough emails they will be forced to do something. maybe
