Fished Kanasket-Palmer today..........NOTHING!
First time I've seen 20 anglers leave fishless, including myself. The water was perfect and you'd think with last weeks rain that a bunch would be lingering around there. What's going on? I've only fished this river for 2 years now so I'm not sure when the hatchery fish typically taper off. Two weeks ago it was amazing. What happened. Talked with a couple locals and they said it was like somebody shut off the faucet on Wednesday. What's Up? Is it even worth my time to keep going? confused confused confused confused confused

Well cutthroat, nuts, or should I say nets? Good luck on the Green, my in-laws live on Pickle Factory Road just down from Palmer in Enumclaw. I know what you mean, several times last winter the same thing happened to me, tons of fish one weekend, natta the next. Good luck, hit one for me. Oh, yeah, keep fishing because the last time I was on the Green this fall (September) I pulled out a rod (Berkely 8'6 nice action, with a calcutta 250 on it) all in tact, just needed cleaned up a little bit and a guide replaced. So, keep fishing maybe you'll have the same luck I did.

Even salmon fishing can be hit and miss. Stick out the lull and you will be rewarded.
