Looking to locate a back issue of STS, featuring a lucky steelheader on the cover. He's moustached, wearing old Miner type rubber waders, uses a glass, metal-ferruled rod, with the reel very low on the corks, looks like an old Penn. It's a fall scene.

And the steelie's quite large. If the cover is present, and not attached, fine. If all the pages are there and ragged, fine. What is not fine is clipped out coupons. Please send me a note if you have a copy for barter or sale. I tie steelhead, coho, sockeye, and pink flies, and can whip you up some for the mag. Thanks in advance. STS= salmon trout steelheader.

Thanks for the replies.....I will see if I can round up the specifics....Club Pacific with Mel Kreiger was in its tenth season, mel had teeth and hair, and a touque.....Naturally, I don't have the issue to refer to this info, but I think I can get it. I have a friend who has a friend that may have a copy.......>-)

I have about 60 copies of STS laying around... I will check to see if I have one that fits your discription, and get back to you tomorrow also...

Have that Salmon/Trout/Steelheader, October/November 1978, but the cover is not what you described in your first post.

This shows older gentlemen, Red hat, red vest, sunglasses....holding a female steelhead. No rod or reel is shown in the picture.
