I need to buy a wheel set up so I can wheel my pontoon boat to Nunally, Beta and other lakes that have no drive in access. Any suggestions as to who carries tham, best model, best price ?

They have what your looking for at Avid Angler in Lake Forest Park. But I don't know what they want for them.

I made my own wheel for my outcst about 5 years ago. It also doubles as a pulley for my anchor. It really wasn't that tough if you weld. I used the front wheen from my sons first bike, fashoned some forks, and bought tubing slightly smaller than the tube on my frame. I cut the frame, insert the wheel assembly and I use to set pins to hold it at the right angle. Works great. The downside is that I always have to put everyone elses tube on top of mine and roll them both!

I'd make one out of 2x2's and a bike wheel if it was me. I figure that would would be sturdy enough for one pontoon boat, but not enough to have to wheel multiples in.

I've known other's I fish with that make them that way.

Just a couple of thoughts. How far is the haul your going to be making. If it is short use a small tire that doesnt require air. If making a longer haul you will want something larger and with air in it . Depending on the weight two tire would make it easier to move around and would keep it from tipping side to side.
