"I used to be deep into traditional archery, years ago (late 80's early 90's) went to a local 3d shoot and they had set up a competition novelty "running deer" on a cable, you'd pay 5 buck for three shots as they ran it past the firing line, I was just a second level shooter but occasionally competing with the big deal guys on scores, anyway..I hit the kill zone with my first arrow on the first pass to advance to round two, maybe 25 guys out of a few hundred had advanced over the afternoon, round two came and it was the same deal, first arrow kill and I walked into the final round with about 5 others guys, all were real shooters from all over the place, got a beer or three in me to calm my nerves for the final round, and put my third arrow dead nutts perfect into the kill like a boss for the win, it was kinda a big deal at the time...to me anyway. Won a custom longbow that a local bowyer had donated, was cool that I won that contest and bow with one of the bows that he had made.
That was a good bow and I still have it, even killed a running 4 point bull with it that year."
