Apparently analytical thinking was beyond the grasp of the teacher in this case. It's true, the school district does have a policy pertaining to weapons. It's also true that the student's bedroom is on private property beyond the purview of the school district. If the teacher was as skilled as she ought to be for her job, she would have just told the student that the BB gun was visible in the online screen and that he should move it out of sight to comply with the school district's policy. Recommending and executing a 6-day suspension illustrates that stupidity knows few bounds.
