That’s an obvious misinterpretation of the idea behind wearing a mask. But I’m sure you know that.

I have however heard many stupid people say similar things, fully convinced that the mask is intended to protect the individual wearing it. As if a person wearing a mask in a room full of bare faced and contagious mouth breathers is somehow protected.

I also know that Fauci and whoever else have come out and said masks do provide some level of individual protection which may or may not be true. Personally I don’t put much stock in that.
