Silver is now $64 an ounce and still has been a better investment than Amazon which Dan S recommended. Rich G was correct and probably is better economist than Dan S.

Let's fact check this. A $10,000 investment in Amazon stock five years ago, would be worth $15,600 today, representing a gain of 56%. This performance significantly underperformed the S&P 500, which delivered a 112% return over the same timeframe. Five years ago Silver was $26.39 per ounce, which was the year's closing price. With the current price at $64 per ounce, a $10,000 investment in silver five years ago would be worth $24,250 today, representing a gain of 142.5%.

So yes Silver did much better than Amazon however it only did moderately better than the S&P 500.

Yet still it appears, Rich G was right again.
