goforchrome, I'm with you the loomis str1143c is a great light down rigger rod, caught lots of summer rums and U.R.B's and coho with them off riggers in the gorge in the summer and fall.My main downrigger rods are Loomis str1265c, they are a little heavyer and a foot longer and we have landed several Up River Brites 55# plus on them.
