Okie boy, are you going to fish floats exclusively with that 10 1/2 footer? If your planning on drift fishing or it being your all-around rod too, it might not be the best choice. I've got a lamiglas cert. pro in the 9 1/2" spinning version 6-10 lb.test as a replacement for a broken imx 1082s. Also have the lami. cert. pro 8-12 lb.test 9 1/2" baitcaster, I think the spin-rod is a bit stiffer than the baitcaster thou rated as a lighter action. As a drift rod my 8-12 seems a bit mushy, with poor transmitted feel on the tap..tap..tap of the lead. The 10 1/2 footer IMHO might be even more so....c/22
