Another option I would consider would be Hanson's Farm. I'd drive out the dike and pay my $2.00 then walk down and fish the upper riffle, just below the Tulaco boat launch with a float/jig or float/bait for a while then walk down and fish the rest of the bar with spoons/spinners. This time of year you could catch steelhead or chinook. The chinook must be release unharmed of course. There are a lot of chinook jacks in the river now and they can be a blast on lighter gear. This spot will become increasing more interesting over the next six weeks or so when the coho start arriving (coho will be legal to keep after 9/1).
