Just moved to Seattle from New York City. I didnt do any Salmon fishing out there (a few Coney Island White Fish maybe). I'd like to do some fishing here. I have a ton of questions and would be grateful for any advice any of you fine fisherman can provide. I dont have a boat, and since I live near Myrtle park, I've gone down there a couple times, to the pier (I think its #89?). I've tried to watch what others were doing, but havent seen anyone catch a fish (been there maybe 6 times/2 hours a pop). Still the fisherman there insist they've pulled alot fish from there.
1. Is this a decent place to fish? Is it the right time of year/month to be fishing for salmon there? Is there somewhere else I should go instead where I could fish without a boat?
2. The technique I see most using is jigging a buzzbomb. Do you think this is the best technique for this spot? Should I scent the lure?
3. Any other suggestions at all for location/technique for a guy without a boat.
Thanks, Cheers.
