Thanks guys for the advice but......As for river fishing, I love that, and have been trying drift-fishing for steelhead on the skykomish every chance I get. Thing is, this pier is so close to where I'm livin and people swear they catch fish there, so it would be nice to be able to fish on those occasions when I just dont have time to get to the river. The things I thought maybe you could provide some insight on: Are there really fish there? If so during what month/week/time of day? Is jigging with a buzzbomb the best way, or should I use bait? Are there better spots close to that pier for someone without a boat?
I've looked on this site and others, read some books, and asked fishermen and at the tackle shops, but everyone says something a lil' different. I just thought you folks might have some observation for a beginner. Thanks
