Chovie, I used to fish that pier because I live up the street.It was close but it does not produce like others. You will have better luck if you want to catch Chinook from the Seacrest pier. Yes there are fish in the Puget sound, and some will be caught from that pier. As far as what day of the week , you will have to spend countless hours like everyone else down there to get a shot at them. I consider that pier to be more of a relaxing place after work but not a serious place to catch fish.

You will have better luck hitting the rivers next month for Salmon. The Green river is very close to Seattle and it has Steelhead and Salmon.

If you want to catch Salmon from the pier, goto Seacrest and use Darts and Websters, BuzzBombs, etc... Do it early in the morning. I go diving a lot near seacrest and it is always crowded with guys, but they seem to catch a lot of fish.
