I just went through this myself last Friday. Here is what happen and what I went through to get a replacement.
Last Friday I was on the Kalama and within an hour I broke my GL3 1024 C on a snag. I jumped in my truck and headed South on I 5 to Woodland. This is what happen when I arrived at Loomis wearing waders and holding a broken rod.
I was told that they no longer accept warranty service at the counter. I was given 2 choices. One, I could pay them $50 then and there and they would give me a new rod with, "No questions asked". Proving of course they had the exact same model in stock. Two, I could leave the rod with them along with $20 so they could "analysis" the breakage. After this "analysis" they would then ship me a new rod in 7 to 10 days. I figure the $20 was half cost because I brought the rod to them and as a result it only had to be shipped one way.
Well, I gave them $20 and climbed back in my truck to go home to Auburn. It was a very long drive. I mean a very long drive. And as I passed over the kalama then the Cowlitz I couldn't take it. I turned my truck around and went back to Loomis. I gave them $50 and they gave me a new rod right off the floor. I then drove back to the Kalama and returned fishing.
Oh, how I do on the river? I had one on and lost it. Go figure.
