If the Bush administration hadn't launched an all-out assault to destroy the American middle-class through gonzo deficit spending, the war in Iraq, and tax cuts for billionaires... regular folks wouldn't have to mortgage themselves to the hilt just to put the kids through college, enjoy a new boat or maybe even take a vacation once a year.
