Darin - My two favorite fishing methods for rivers are plunking and tossing hardware and only with single hooks. While Plunking, either with or without bait, I rarely hook a fish deeply and get them in quickly. With spoons and spinners I hook nearly ¼ of my fish in the eye, tongue, gill or stomach, play them longer, and release many that will die because they are illegal to retain. Sad but true.

That hardly resembles an attack but it may be construed as a plea for help.

You have still failed to reveal whether or not you approve of this fishery as have the members of the WSC. I guess I'll assume you do.

Perhaps your greed to catch outweighs your commitment towards conservation.
