I absolutely killed the pinks at Sekiu with a silver fishflash and a 4 inch army truck coyote spoon with prism tape on the underside - and I mean like to the tune of 32 for 8 people in 2 shifts before noon Caught a bunch of silvers too. Never have been a believer in the white dodger/pink squid combo for pinks - always figured it was something thought up by F&H to limit everyone's effectiveness That combo never made sense to me, I mean pinks feed heavily on baitfish which is why they are paler than most salmon, so why does everyone go after them with a squid The ol' army truck with a flashy underside matches the herring hatch better than anything except the real thing, and when you are getting constant action re-baiting herring is a phenominal waste of time. Oh yeah, the other thing I did was use my B10 divers, the one's that re-set after being tripped, instead of the downrigger, so we could hook and lose or land fish and get back on them by just letting out line rather than cranking up the wire and re-clipping all the time. Hell, we got a bunch of fish on the surface before we could even let out any line with this rig. Dang, gave out too much good info
