Yep lead thrower, I said a fly reel with mono. It is a system that is absolutely dynamite for metering line to drift fish through snaggy water. It's been used in the Great Lakes for 40 years or more. The reel of choice is a Martin 72 multiplier. Most guys run 6 or 8 pound maxima on them. For salmon, they will move up to 10 or 12 pound. You can chuck your offering in to the exact same spot time and time agin with little to no effort after you practice a little bit. It saves on a ton of gear, and you are instantly on your drift.

Metalhead Ron: I think we are talking about something totally different as far as rods. We hadn't even approved the design until somewhere after Christmas. They wee just made a couple months ago. The eyes on the rods are similar to a spinning rod, as you can actually cast a small float and a 1/32 oz jig for 30 yards or more. A spoon or spinner flies like a bullet.
