Cut off the old hook....add split ring, then new hook...If casting or anchor fishing..current should hold hook where it should be....not to worry. If you want you can use tubing to hold it out straight like Fishhawg even with a split ring....(his pic looks like he has one) Mine..i don't and if the hook get's messed up i'll just rebuild it.
