I have a boat but I also like to fish from the piers. I also get p'oed when for some evidently unexplainable reason one of the first places someone new to the boat fishing world has to find a public fishing pier to fish by! They got The whole damn lake or sound but they gots to anchor right in front of bank fishermen.
And Yes casting your rod with the old line on it in front of one of these yahoos does work to bind up there prop about 50% of the time. casting 4 ounce sinkers repeatedly around them also will do the job most the time. I also hate it when people moore ther boats within casting distance of a public pier. 4 ounce sinkers cast directly onto those boats works really good for getting them removed. People that do these stupid things might as well be just plain flat out telling me to f-off because they evidently dont give a hoot about anybody but themselves. The only thing that makes me even madder is th weekend warriors that ask the idiot boaters if there catching anything while there screwing up the fishing!

There was guy at the long lake pier that showed up with a remote control boat and proceeded to run it around 6 or 7 peoples lines while they were fishing. Nobody said anything to the moron at all. Three people actually moved out of his way! I held off on long as posible because I was leaving for work in five minutes anyways. I couldnt stand it any longer and told him in so many words to go somewhere else and he did. Whats wrong with people, too much TV? Nobody speaks up anymore! Are the afraid they'll get sued for verbal abuse or something? Another recent case was some morons in a big bayliner at long lake. I pulled up to the pier and they were anchored 20 feet off the pier. There were two others fishing and they were saying nothing to get the morons outa there!

People ya gots to let them know what there doing is unacceptable!
