On Friday, as noted above, I was predicting total run size of somewhere between 347,000 and 416,000 with the best guess at around 372,000.

The WDFW was predicting a range of 375,000 to 410,000 sockeye.


The returns for Fri-Sun were the best seen for those days in the last five years causing me to raise my guess by about 10,000 for a predicted return of somewhere between 357,000 and 426,000 with the best guess at around 382,000.

That is still only about 16,000 fish for the personal use fishery and 16,000 for the tribes.

It will be interesting to see what the comanagers decide.
