In 1988 I purchased a Lami flyrod blank from Anglers workshop. I broke it right above the ferule a few years later and decided to just stuff a short section of a fiberglass blank inside it and wrapped the broken sections together. I finally broke that again a few years later. I was in Patrick's fly shop in Seattle and they told me to bring it in as they had some other rods going to Lamiglas and they would send it off with the rest. 2 weeks later they called and told me to come get the rod. When I arrived I had a new tip section, total cost? $10 for shipping. I purchased new guides and assembled the rod on my honeymoon while up in Canada.
When I bought the blank I never even asked about a warranty. It was the right action/size at the right price. I've loved that rod ever since I built it. I still love it!

I'll be buying another Lamiglas next time I have to buy a rod. Their customer service can't be beat!
Also in about 1994 I purchased a LHI steelhead rod. I closed the tip in the door one day and decided to drive down to Woodland to Lamiglas and see about getting a new tip as I had heard the LHI was made in their factory. I walked in the door with the rod. The guy behind the counter asked what I had. I showed him. He said he would be right back and came back with a new tip. No charge. Great service!
Please note that in both cases I felt I should have to pay for the tip sections as I never even thought about a warranty. In the first it just failed due to a scratch on the rod (I think) when I set the hook on a fish. On the second one it was clearly my fault as I closed the car door on it! Both times I had my check book ready to pay for the tip sections and they took care of it for me. I will continue to buy their rods!
