only some of the Lami's dont' have a lifetime warranty, thier northwest special, IM-7 tropgy series and G-200. The Certified pro's, G-1000 and TI series are still covered. The reason wny is the first group are all overseas manufactured. this get's you the lower price. In my years in the industry I would say 90% of all graphite rod breaks are not the fault of the rod, but due to careless actions of the people who use them. This could be anything from giving the "bassmaster" hook set to trying to pull your line thru the guides at a greater than 90 degree angle. How many of us really use the rod socks that come with the high end rod's (yes I know that Lamiglass doesn't include any with their rods). I see so many guys with thier rods sliding up and down the aluminum gunnel of their boat. Keep in mind that a Graphite rod is no more than a woven layer of graphite fibers held together by a resin. That's it! I know that my rods are scratched up pretty good. And I know that it could cost me to fix them if they break. I cannot tell you how many times I hear the phrase " it broke on a huge fish for no reason at all" and you look to see the blue paint from the truck door still on it.

I guess I was ranting a little there, Hu?
