FishFlash color is irrelevant.... as long as it's green for kings!! \:D

That said, I must admit I run red ones for silvers in the bay/river, also silver on both sides for those folks who don't like any color, and of course a pinky-purpley one for my wife who refuses to put anything out there without some pink or purple on it.

When considering leader length, it's a matter of personal preference. The only limitation to consider is the length of your rod. Add up the distance between your hook and flasher, the flasher itself, and any additional leader to the weight or diver.... when you total it all up, just make sure it's not any longer than the rod you are fishing with, or you are courting trouble when it comes time to net the fish. It's impossible to lift a fish to the surface on the end of 10 feet of terminal gear when you only have 7 feet of rod. Get the point?
