actually trailrat. i was down there on saturday scoping the river and the majority of the fish that i saw were actually nice by all standards, I think that rain last week brought a bunch of nice fish up and the rain on wed. and thurs. will bring some more nice ones in....as for all of the asshole snaggers, i think if you fish it for the first hours of daylight you can miss most of them(yah know, gotta let the hangove wear off), even with all the yaywhos there in mid-day I have never had a problem hooking fish, just use light leaders and lead(6 lb test) and small gear......as for all the asshole snaggers, I heard that from wed. through the weekend that there are gonna be a couple tribal cops, a couple wdfw cops, and a bunch of u.s. marshals there....so snaggers (at least some) will finally get caught this year...but the cops i think are mainly gonna be down there to finally enforce the boundry rule...if you are fishing the sounth bank of the river youre fine but if you happen to be fishing the north side(tribal side) of the river you better be IN THE WATER!! with no gear or trash on the bank because i hear the tribe(along with me) is feed up with all the trash on the bank and they WILL ticket anyone this year on the bank or with gear on the bank on the north side of the river... good luck to those that challenge that combat fishery though...i think i'll just go down with a camera to catch the sillyness on film ..plus i love shots of people getting tickets
