I, like 101, Have been checking out the river for the last month. The indians are sure having a good time on all those ESA impacted salmon. My buddy has filmed them on many different occasions this month, snagging the crap out the fish.
Like I said before, the WDFW either have something going on with the tribes ($$$), or they are just using the ESA bullcrap as a reason to not have to use the manpower to patrol the river. I don't think that is the case since everytime I have been down this month theres been a GW around. All the other years before this one, there has rarely been a GW down there. At least not as much as I've been seeing lately.
It sucks because there is enough fish in there for everybody and there has been for at least the last twelve years that I've been fishing it.
I think something is going on, not just at the Skok, but statewide. It's just a conspiracy theory, but I think the WDFW have something going on with the tribes. If anybody has any thoughts or reasons on why we can't fish the Skok and other rivers during the month of August this year, and probably next, feel free to enlighten me. I'm all eyes.
