I buy the 51-60 count cooked prawns. Some people use the raw ones but I've had better luck with them cooked. I can cut each into 2-3 pieces. I don't usually cure them but I've tried putting them in red dye cure before. They're cheaper than sand shrimp by the dozen. I just thread them on and secure them with a bait loop. They last a long time on the hook.
