100% of the time I have a spinner rod rigged when in the boat. If I'm out exploring on the bank I usually have one tied on as well. I fish many different methods but hands down have caught more salmon and steelhead on spinners that anything else. I'm not saying they're more effective what I am saying is that I have confidence in them because they've worked for me. I use as big of a spinner as I can get away with given the conditions. I pay very little attention to color, only as it pertains to flash. I probably have 75 spinners in my box that I carry with me and there are 3 different colors (better call it finishes) in 3 different sizes, nothing smaller than a #4
They do work on winter fish!
