My Dell is 3 or 4 years old now and needs to be replaced. I use laptops for schoolwork, music, internet, ect. Nothing fancy. But I do like to have a lot of memory for all my music and videos and schoolwork. Any ideas on what I should go for? Apple HP Dell???

I'm open for any and all suggestions. I hear those Apples are a great laptop but do have a big price tag. I'm more concerned with getting the right laptop to last the next 3.5 years in college then the cost...
