Its not important in their minds, because they cannot get that vote, based on the demographics. Yet, for the GOP the south is important, because any loss their would only increase the likelyhood of a loss. The politicians and the media dont want to talk about disaffected Clinton supporters. They also dont want to talk about the women voters over 40 which dont support Obama. They live in every state. I doubt Obiden will help, considering his bad habit of taking shots at women.
