IF you're looking for a cheaper rod ...might ask TH about some of the Rogue blanks. He did up for me a couple of years back for some boat float rods. Medium priced blank with top quality components makes for a nice mdium-price rod ... I went with 9' 6" for out of the boat as I see no more length needed when you're already standing on top of the water
