I hate cats too. We have a long haired blind 'himalayan' named 'Pumpkin'. She just lays there like a lump, day after day. If you pet her, she walks away, if you pick her up she hisses at you. My girls would love to play with her, but every time they do we get crying and "Punkin hit me!", or "Punkin bite me!".

When she wants something (cat box, food or water) she'll be nice to you.

So pretty much we are all just waiting for her to die. My wife even called an adoption agency and told them we were sick of the cat and wanted to get rid of her. The girl gave her a horrible mother-in-law type guilt trip, and so we kept the cat.

She is a little entertaining when she freaks out though, because she takes off running and invariably "bonggggg" runs hard into something (because she is blind).
