Anyone who states that hound hunting is not hunting has never been. Anyone who thinks a guy doing in after a cougar in tight is a P_ssy.....they have never been in tight with a cat. That takes ball as big as church bells, was dangerous as hell and was dumb dumb dumb in my oppinion. But that said, as a young man I likely would have been the one peeking around the corner. Much older and smarter now.

A cat is a scary animal and their numbers need to be controlled in Idaho and Wa. Far to many over in eastern side of our state. Hound hunting is the best way to control their numbers and since we have nature so out of balance it is needed......like it or not. And make no mistake, it is a hell of a lot tougher than sitting in some stand and shooting a deer or elk. Takes a lot more work getting hound trained and ready as well.
