I couldn't see the video, but crawling into a small cave after a pissed off cougar sounds like a stupid idea to me, not ballsy. However, it should rank as being considerably more sporting than treeing the cat with hounds and then shooting it.

I had an interesting discussion with a friend about relative sport as it pertains to hunting and fishing once. We ran the gamut of upstream dead drift dry fly contrasted to drifting bait and hunting with scope equiped high powered rifles to compound bows with sights to recurve bows to long bows and cedar arrows. He concluded and defined "pure sport" as two men, each armed with a 9-shot semi-auto pistol separately enter a pitch black dard warehouse, and only one of the two comes out alive. Obviously opinion, which is all it is, ranges far and wide.

Personally I have a negative opinion of hound hunting. But I think it's based on the few examples I've observed of hound hunters, who uniformly treated their hounds inhumanely, and I like dogs, being partial to retrievers.
