Pink worms are like anything else you fish for steelhead. Some days, it's the cat's meow, other days it's a dog. When the fish are fresh and the water's steelhead green, it don't matter much what you throw as long as fish are in the run. When the conditions are less than optimal is when it matters. Personally, I like pink worms in cold or dirty water, when you need a bigger profile to get the fishes' attention. I thread the hook 2/3 of the way through the worm and fish them under a float with a few shot. It works very well at times.
