I have to disagree with anyone who thinks that spinning reels are inferior to casting reels. After fishing steelhead in eastern washington I can tell you that wind + light weight = backlasshes. I can understand how its convenient to get an extended drift but most times the extended drift isn't nescesary and can be a distraction.
