Thanks Keith, that sure helps I am buying a boat soon and will really be able to do some damage then. I will be picking up a 18' Glasspar with a 70horse Evinrude. Pretty old (old enough for the motor to have points) but my dad took it out and said it did alright.

I will be hitting up the sound for salmon next month and would take any advice on what to use and where to get in. I am not experienced this will be my first boat and if there is anyone out there who needs a ride in a boat and has some knowledge who doesn't mind hanging out with a couple Marines let me know. I am Kitsap county.
